The Vehicle Inspector is a key team member that will be responsible for maintaining high quality and safety standards on the wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions we produce.
What you'll do:
- Perform visual vehicle inspections for mechanical & electrical function to ensure compliance with safety regulations and our quality standards.
- Identify and document accurate data regarding defects or discrepancies.
- Communicate results of inspections to managers, supervisors, and production staff.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Provide feedback and make recommendations to improve Quality processes.
- Participate in quality audits & training and provide recommendations on ways to improve efficiency.
- Perform routine checks on diagnostic tools and equipment ensuring accuracy and functionality.
- Maintain compliance with Freedom Motors quality and safety standards, policies and procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Previous experience in vehicle inspection/quality control in the transportation/logistics or related field preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of vehicle mechanics and systems.
- Ability to analyze data, perform calculations, read & interpret blueprints, and possess basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, willingness to take on greater challenges, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong time-management skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
- Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
- Valid Drivers License and acceptable motor vehicle record.
