Protein Purification Intern

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Intern to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist in the purification of proteins for various research projects, contributing to the advancement of scientific discovery in our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform protein purification techniques including chromatography, filtration, and centrifugation under the guidance of engineers and scientists.
2. Prepare buffers and solutions required for protein purification experiments.
3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as chromatography skids, pumps, tubing welders.
4. Analyze protein samples using HPLC and SoloVPE.
5. Assist in troubleshooting purification protocols and optimizing purification procedures.
6. Keep accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations.
7. Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and timelines.
8. Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:
1. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in engineering, chemistry, biochemistry or a related field.
2. Previous laboratory experience is highly desirable.
3. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
4. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
5. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
6. Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing project requirements.
