Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography (CT) Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a CT Technician, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality diagnostic images to aid in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Imaging Procedures: Perform a variety of CT imaging procedures, including head, chest, abdomen, and extremities scans, to produce detailed images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain CT scanning equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols. Troubleshoot technical issues as needed and collaborate with the maintenance team for equipment upgrades and repairs.
  • Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are adequately prepared for CT scans, explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing any concerns to ensure patient comfort and cooperation during the examination.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and yourself. Monitor and maintain a safe environment within the CT scanning area.
  • Image Quality Assurance: Evaluate the quality of CT images to ensure they meet diagnostic standards. Adjust imaging parameters as necessary to obtain the best possible images for accurate diagnosis.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, imaging procedures, and equipment maintenance. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and contribute to the overall patient care plan. Provide support and assistance during interventional procedures as needed.

 Job Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program with specialization in CT scanning.
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT.
  • Valid state licensure as a radiologic technologist.
  • Prior experience as a CT Technician is preferred.
