BenefitsSign-on bonus of $1,500 for full-time and $750 for part-time employees and pick-up pay of $6/hour. This is a barganning unit position. Benefits for full-time employees include health insurance, vision + dental insurance, life insurance, 401K plan with 4% employer contribution, short term disability, paid time off (PTO), health savings account, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide quality personal care to ensure that residents are comfortable and are provided with the highest quality of care.
- Adheres to all guidelines learned and state guidelines as well as complies with Genacross policies and procedures.
- Complete administrative requirements to ensure that proper documentation is maintained.
- Completes paperwork, medical forms, charting and all required documentation as a part of the resident care process and the transition of care process.
- Assists the residents with daily tasks related to dining and the resident activities program.
- Follow care plan functions to meet the specific needs of each resident.
- Focus on resident’s individualized needs and encourage resident’s ability to make personal choices.
- Accepts direction of charge nurse in relation to direct resident care.
- Reports allegations of abuse/neglect and reports, as appropriate, to proper organization leadership.
- Reports hazardous incidents, including but not limited to, injuries, equipment, etc. to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor.
- Implements and follows disaster plans in the event of an emergency.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- 1-2 years of experience in Assisted Living setting or the elderly population.
- Must have or be willing to complete required training for the position of Resident Aide Assistant including first-aid training.
- Must demonstrate an ability to read, write, understand and communicate job-related information and directions in English.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives, managers, supervisors and direct care staff, as well as residents, families and physicians.
- Understands directions; communicates and responds to inquiries promptly.
