Overview of the Role

Fresh Start is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Marketing Content Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role will play a pivotal role in developing content to drive brand awareness and client engagement. You will work collaboratively as a member of the Marketing, Communications, and Client Experience team to develop compelling content, execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, and analyze performance metrics to optimize our marketing strategies for our B2C and B2B audiences.

You will utilize Fresh Start brand guidelines and templates for content development across multiple platforms including social media, email, website, SMS, and blog. Creativity and a passion for developing and sharing remarkable marketing content that inspires our target audiences along with an innovative mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask, are essential for success in this role and on the Fresh Start team.

This Marketing Content Specialist will help develop, execute, and monitor marketing content across a variety of channels and be responsible for creating and implementing effective messaging and imagery that speaks to a variety of audiences through strong written communication and storytelling skills.

Key Responsibilities - What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure best practices in digital marketing, automation, and campaign management to meet organizational goals.
  • Utilize a can-do attitude and work with cross functional teams to implement and support lead generation and client experience based on organizational goals and market demand.
  • Contribute to strategically themed, niche marketing content development for multiple platforms: email, website/landing pages, flyers, SMS, and social media
  • Write and edit messaging and communication to attract and support unique Fresh Start audiences including the women we serve (clients), partners, donors, grantors, and volunteers.
  • Provide content creation utilizing research, creative writing, editing/storytelling, and graphic production and layout
  • Utilize the marketing automation tools and CRM capabilities in HubSpot.
  • Utilize and embrace branded templates and enforce brand standards.
  • Create, manage and monitor organic & paid social media campaigns (Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) to support recruiting and engagement goals
  • Stay current with the trends of the market and participate in ongoing creative development sessions with the marketing team and internal staff to optimize niche campaign goals

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

  • 2+ years of experience in digital content marketing, social media management, campaign development, website CMS and landing pages, email marketing, SMS, and copywriting/editing.
  • Preferred minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent in work experience
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-empowered learner with passion to increase knowledge and skillset in the digital marketing, communications, and recruitment field
  • Experience developing compelling marketing content, excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
  • Exceptional proofreading and editing skills with keen attention to detail.
  • HubSpot CRM and Marketing Automation platform knowledge and experience a plus. Never used HubSpot? If you’re curious, appreciate automation, and are a fast learner, you’ll pick it up quickly.
  • Strong platform skills in social media (Meta, LinkedIn, other) Canva, Outlook/Google shared working environments, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. (Adobe helpful as a transferrable skill)
  • Additional marketing certifications and experience in HubSpot, Meta Ads, Google Search, GA or Ads, and other related areas are a plus
  • Must consistently exhibit high levels of initiative, flexibility, and professionalism.
  • Skilled at working and staying motivated in both a team and individual work environment.
