Job DescriptionJob Description

We’re searching for someone who is enthusiastic, takes direction well, and communicates easily with customers and team members. The food runner works closely with our main servers to make sure customers get their food on time, and their beverage glasses stay filled. You’ll be responsible for clearing plates and cleaning the table when customers leave, and then resetting it with tableware for the next guests. A sense of urgency and organization is required to keep the kitchen and server stations fully stocked with condiments and other food items. You’ll learn our menu to address customer questions and alert servers when customers need them. You should be familiar with food safety rules and have some food service experience. Responsibilities:
  • Serve customers water, and other beverages, bring drinks to them, and make sure all condiments are refilled and placed on the table
  • Bring customers to their tables, communicate with customers regarding any special needs, and relay any issues to the waiter
  • Deliver food to tables in a timely and orderly fashion, and ask if customers need anything else before leaving the table
  • Reset tables for the next guests by clearing away dirty dishes, and setting new place settings, napkins, and silverware
  • Keep track of kitchen inventory to make sure kitchen and server stations are fully stocked with all the supplies needed
Qualifications:
  • Prepared to work nights, weekends, some holidays and help out team members with shifts when needed
  • This position requires a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
  • Comfortable with frequent, extended periods of standing, lifting, and bending for the entire shift and/or closing
  • Familiarity with proper handling of food and drinks and kitchen equipment
  • Prior experience working in the food service industry is preferred, but not required
