Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob SummarySets up and operates Grafoil Punch Press machine. Applies Grafoil, Teflon or Mica to face of gaskets. May use tape measure. Keeps area clean. May perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receives gaskets to apply Grafoil/Teflon facing to gaskets. Retrieves gasket material, as needed, in accordance with work order specifications.
  • If gaskets are less than 24”, selects appropriate die from die rack, installs and secures die in Grafoil Press in accordance with work order specifications.
  • Places material on die.
  • Actuates Grafoil Press machine, which swings Press head onto material/die, to produce needed Grafoil/Teflon facing.
  • If gaskets are larger than 24”, manually cuts Grafoil/Teflon to produce facing using a razor.
  • Applies Grafoil facing to face of gasket with spray adhesive Assembles gasket and applies cut with adhesive, as needed: CeraFelt. Operates Grafoil flattener to assure adhesion of Grafoil to gasket.
  • If gaskets are larger than 24”, attaches gaskets to cardboard using tape. Delivers gaskets to Inspection Department.
  • Assures aisle ways and production areas are cleared of debris daily.
  • Employee may be cross trained in different departments/areas.
  • Must have clear understanding and practice all safety rules and regulations.
  • Must have clear understanding of Quality Policy and Quality System Programs.
  • Maintains a clean workstation.

  • Ability to understand written/verbal instructions as needed.
  • Must be able to use a tape measure
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent a plus
Work Experience
  • No relevant work experience required, but manufacturing work history a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push and pull.
  • Continuous standing and/or walking.
  • Moderate physical effort- working frequently with average weights of ten to fifty pounds or continuously with lighter weights.
  • Good eye/hand/foot coordination.
  • Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions. Occasional work outside in the elements.
  • Must be able to lift forty pounds independently.
