As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee general accounting operations and help establish a best-in-class accounting function. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure every transaction is accurately recorded, providing the business with transparency on performance and resource allocation.


What youll be doing:

  • Reconciling account balances and bank statements
  • Maintaining the general ledger
  • Preparing month-end close procedures
  • Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded
  • Managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
  • Performing complex journal entries and reconciliations
  • Building and improving accounting systems


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of technical accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, AP, AR, closing books, reconciliation, and building systems
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Must be willing to work in-office in Austin, TX
  • Ideal candidates have experience in tech, software/SAAS, or startup environments; experience in larger corporate/white collar settings is also acceptable


Nice to have:
