We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team, where you'll play a key role in preparing nutritious meals for children while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. This position suits individuals with food service experience and a passion for working with kids. If you have experience in food service, hospitality, caregiving, childcare, or kitchen management, your skills may be highly transferable to this role

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, starting at 6:30 AM
  • Evenings and weekends off

Preferred Requirements:

  • High school diploma (a 2-year Culinary Arts degree is a plus).
  • 1+ years of food service experience, including preparing meals from raw ingredients.
  • Experience in bulk food preparation.
  • ServSafe or Food Handlers Certification (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all food service activities, including preparing meals for children.
  • Collaborate with the lead director to manage allergies, substitutions, and food safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Plan meals using a rotating menu and order necessary supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (knowledge of USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations is helpful but not required).
