SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is the oversight and leadership of a regional processing room. Central tasks include the tracking of all cash items originating in or returning to the specific processing site, review of daily vault balance & inventory, upkeep of schedule including PTO & time card approval, investigation & reconciliation of variances, and ensuring day-to-day operations including proper SOP in all processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day-to-day oversight of a regional processing department
  • Daily approval of employee timecards
  • Daily balance & reporting of vault inventory and cash movement
  • Daily reporting of any and all variances found within processes
  • Independently resolve discrepancies and irregularities
  • Observation and reinforcement of outlined standard operating procedures
  • Implementation and maintenance of control procedures
  • Implementation and maintenance of new & ongoing process improvements
  • Ensuring financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Assistance with accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closes
  • Communication and cooperation with other departments
  • Protection of the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Conducting additional reviews and analyses as needed or requested by senior management
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Office Suite
  • 21 years of age
  • Ability to pass licensing by the Illinois Gaming Board
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
