As a Strings Sports Brewery team member, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests, while also assisting in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

Job Descriptions:

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals according to the restaurant’s menu and standards. This role involves ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented according to specifications and that the kitchen operates efficiently.

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role supports the kitchen staff by ensuring that all items are clean, organized, and ready for use.

The Cashier and Food Runner will be the face of our restaurant for many of our guests. You will handle transactions, provide a warm and friendly atmosphere, and ensure that food orders are delivered promptly and accurately. This role requires multitasking, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service.

The ideal Bartender candidate will have a passion for craft brewing, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will handle transactions, provide a warm and friendly space for our patrons, and ensure that drink orders are delivered promptly and accurately. This role requires multitasking, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service.

Key Dishwasher Responsibilities:

  • Operate dishwashing machines to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Hand-wash items that are not suitable for machine washing.
  • Ensure that dishes are dried and stored properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors.
  • Dispose of trash and recycling according to restaurant policies.
  • Assist in basic kitchen prep work as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.

Key Cook Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure that all dishes are presented attractively and are of high quality.
  • Monitor food stock and ingredients, and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including kitchen equipment.
  • Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, offering suggestions for improvement.

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Operate the cash register and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
  • Greet and engage customers with a positive attitude.
  • Answer customer inquiries and assist with menu information.
  • Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.

Food Runner Responsibilities:

  • Deliver food and beverages to tables efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure orders are complete and meet the restaurant’s quality standards.
  • Assist with setting up and clearing tables as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Provide exceptional service and support to guests throughout their dining experience.

Bartender Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for guests.
  • Serve a variety of craft beers in accordance with our menu and standards.
  • Engage with customers to provide information about our beers, recommend selections, and answer any questions.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, and maintain a balanced register.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation and high standards of service.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down bar area for special events and functions

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary school degree or relevant certification is a plus for cook.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant or brewery setting is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen/bar hygiene and safety practices.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
