Stormwater Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

This individual will design a variety of Transportation and Infrastructure projects and will report directly to the Lead Stormwater Engineer. Such projects include roads, bridges, stormwater management facilities, and underground utilities.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Develop or implement engineering solutions to assist public sector clients with improving and maintaining their infrastructure.
• Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems or structures (as appropriate) using computer assisted design.
• Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to determine design specifications.
• Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data.
• Perform all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.
• Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for projects.
• Provide technical advice to clients regarding design and construction.
• Support of the field activities of our construction inspection staff, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination.
