Our facility provides Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) for adolescents. We are committed to promoting mental wellness and empowering our clients through evidence-based therapies and personalized care.
Position Overview:
The PMHNP will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care, including evaluations, medication management, and consultations, for adolescents enrolled in our PHP and IOP programs. This role requires a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with the necessary credentials to practice adolescent psychiatry in Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to determine medical necessity for adolescents enrolled in the PHP.
- Provide medication management services, including prescribing and monitoring medications, for PHP participants. Be available on-site weekly and by telephone for urgent medication-related situations.
- Offer consultation and education to patients and their families to enhance treatment success.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to direct and support clinical activities and interventions.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of medical records and documentation.
- Assist the Medical Director with additional medical responsibilities and other tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida.
- At least 3 years of experience providing high-quality care to adolescents and their families, ideally specializing in eating disorders.
- Strong clinical skills with experience in psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
Job Type:
