Job Title: Software Engineer (ATS)

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Engineering

Brief Summary of Position:

Under general supervision, designs, codes, integrates, evaluates, documents, and maintains software related to automated tuning systems (ATS), including associated calibration hardware (such as Ttest). Defines, develops, implements, sustains, and documents an automated ATS software quality assurance process. Responsible for QA plan and algorithm implementation and verification from the RF/Microwave design team within ATS. Is expected to provide guidance to senior management on industry trends and state-of-the-art software and compilers to provide continuous enhancements to ATS products.

Essential Duties of the Position:

  • Responsible for designing, coding, integrating, evaluating, documenting and maintaining ATS and ATS-related software.
  • Provide guidance to senior management on industry trends for software, compilers, networking, and other technologies related to the software aspects of ATS, including distributed networking with .NET.
  • Provide integrating third-party software packages within ATS for enhanced functionality.
  • Work with the RF/Microwave design team within ATS to implement numerical RF/Microwave algorithms, including documentation to ensure consistency with the expected algorithm results.
  • Provide inputs on continuous software improvement, particularly in the area of the graphics user interface (GUI).
  • Assume ownership and provide leadership in implementing an industry-standard ATS QA process, including a comprehensive automated regression battery.
  • Define, develop, implement, sustain, and document a full-automated QA process, with automated bug reporting, to ensure software releases provide accurate results with robust performance.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn the basics of RF and microwave engineering.
  • Work with our partnership products; be the software resource for the product development.

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 2 - 5 years software design experience including GUI developments and successful troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft C#, Visual C, C++ a must. GP/B, TCP/IP programming a must.
  • Knowledge of Java, LabView and VB are a plus.
