How You'll Add Value
The Carpenter engages in the construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial buildings. This position reports directly to the Project Foreman/Superintendent.

How You’ll Get It Done

  • Follow all policies and procedures per the Site Specific Health & Safety program.
  • Follow blueprints and building plans per specified requirements.
  • Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials.
  • Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes.
  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding, and inspect/replace damaged framework.
  • Communicate among project team, vendors, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate project punch lists.
  • Adhere to proper Temporary Protection procedures as applicable.
  • Meet specified deadlines and complete all duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site at all times.
  • Complete daily time entry for payroll purposes.

What You're Bringing to the Table

  • 5+ years Construction/Carpentry experience preferred
  • OSHA Certification Required
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in both rough and finished carpentry settings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines and efficiently execute all the tasks assigned
  • Sound understanding of all safety regulations and norms for working with carpentry tools
  • Must provide his/her own tools and equipment required for the position, as well as reliable transportation
  • Physically able to lift and carry material up to 50 lbs. as needed, as well as climb and work with ladders
