Cooksare responsible for working primarily in the food service operation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or EquivalentRequired
- 2 or more years of prep cook experience.
- Food Handler Certificate -Required
- Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills. Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
- This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment
Job Details:
- $13/hrStarting based on experience + benefits
- Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:30 pmSaturday/ Sunday position
