The ideal candidate for this role is detail and quality-oriented not just in thought, but in practice. The candidate has a reputation for thoroughness and producing quality code, data analysis, and BI reporting. The candidate has an in-depth understanding of the business side of development. At the core, this person should be analytical, curious, data driven, and results oriented. The candidate must have exceptional organizational skills and have the initiative, drive, and accountability required to meet project timelines and produce high-quality deliverables. The BI Lead must be structured when it comes to data organization, always keeping in mind efficiency, scalability, and flexibility within the data. Performing deep dives into our datasets to draw meaningful and actionable insights is required in this role. The ability to collaborate with a team to integrate datasets to build-out products such as dashboards, reports, and analyses for regular use by key stakeholders is necessary to be successful in this role.

SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • Experienced and familiar using RESTful APIs - Calls, Queries, Troubleshooting, and Parsing/Understanding JSON + Flattening Arrays
  • Experienced and familiar using ETL / ELT - Data Automation, Ingestion, and Transformation
  • Capable of Translating Tech Language to Business Language to Simplify and Demonstrate Technical Challenges to Various Stakeholders
  • Experienced Managing IDP- Users, Roles, Permissions, Access Groups, Row-Level Security, and General Identity Management
  • Understanding of General CRM / ERP Workflows and Data Structures
  • Familiarity with MS Office and G-Suite Applications
  • Experienced using Google Cloud Platform Administration - Understanding of PUB/SUB Cloud Functions, and MySQL Server Administration/DBA
  • Experience in various persuasions of SQL including MS-SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS Redshift
  • Experience using BI Applications such as Domo, Tableau, Looker (Domo Preferred)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


  • Masters Degree in the Analytics Field, Data Science, Computer Science, or a Related Field
  • Familiarity with Agile Development Framework and Processes
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Product Suite - JIRA Service Desk, JIRA Management, Confluence, and Trello
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in the Analytics Field, Data Science, Computer Science, or a Related Field
  • Minimum of 5 Years Experience in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Platform Management
JOB DESCRIPTION:


The Business Intelligence Lead owns and manages the Happinest Brands BI tool (DOMO) and all associated data and analytics projects. The BI Lead collaborates with several departments within the organization to integrate datasets to build out products such as dashboards, reports, and analysis that are used on a regular basis by key stakeholders. The BI Lead dives deep into our datasets to draw meaningful and actionable insights. The BI Lead is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to deeply understand their needs and take the initiative to pinpoint avenues to leverage data and data visualizations to improve their processes. The BI Lead enhances our current data capabilities by devising new metrics and items to track and ensure proper maintenance of existing data integrity. The BI Lead manages BI requests and works with the analytics team to accomplish projects, and is responsible for communicating with internal teams, franchisees, and with external vendors. This role reports to the Director of Information Technology.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Owns/leads our Business Intelligence (BI) platform and all associated data and analytics projects.
  • Plans, coordinates, and supervises all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of organizational reporting and analytics within our BI platform.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to deeply understand their needs and take the initiative to pinpoint avenues to leverage data and data visualizations to improve their processes.
  • Enhances our current data capabilities by devising new metrics and items to track, as well as ensure proper maintenance of existing data integrity.
  • Manages BI requests and works with analytics team to accomplish projects.
  • Effectively communicates with both internal teams, franchisees as well as external vendors.
  • Builds out scope of works as it relates to the BI Platform while setting deadlines and achieving them.
