Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionWe're looking for a Transportation Planner / Traffic Engineer to join the HMB team Engaged professionals lies at the heart of our vision statement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience, along with a P.E. (Professional Engineer) license. You will play a critical role in developing transportation planning studies and implementing traffic engineering solutions.
Your Primary Responsibilities will includeTransportation Planning:
- Experience performing transportation planning studies for local agencies and state agencies.
- Multi-modal transportation planning and Complete Streets experience desired.
- Conduct thorough traffic impact studies, traffic flow analysis, and capacity analysis to evaluate existing and proposed transportation systems.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools to model traffic patterns and simulate traffic scenarios.
- Design, evaluate, and optimize, and implement traffic signal systems to improve intersection efficiency and reduce congestioncorridor progression.
- Conduct signal timing studies and implement signal coordination plans.
- Stay updated up-to-date with the latest advances in traffic signal technology and apply them effectively.
What you'll need
- Minimum 4 years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Extensive knowledge of transportation planning and traffic engineering principles, practices, and standards.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as VISSIM, Synchro, HCS, or similar.
