A large managed care organization has a Full-time position for associate patient care coordinator.

Must have two years of related work experience, including data entry along with excellent communication skills, and professional demeanor. Interact with internal and external customers in a courteous manner in person and via telephone.

  • PAY: $17.50 per hour
  • CONTRACT: 05/01/2024 to 08/30/2024
  • HOURS: Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm
  • LOCATION: Indianapolis,IN 46234

Checking in/out patients for a busy 8 provider family practice office, collect balances and copays, schedule appointments, answer incoming calls, relay messages to clinical staff. A direct team of 2-3 people each day, but also working indirectly with the entire office of 25 employees. Ideally the candidate would have experience in a primary care office and an understanding of insurance--medicare/medicaid/commercial. No professional licensing or certification. Dress code is business casual.

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills
§High school diploma or GED equivalent required
§Health Care related experience 1-2 years
§Effective verbal and written communication skills
§Strong customer service skills
§Detail oriented with organizational and time management skills
§Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including: Excel, Word and Outlook

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
§Medical Assistant experience
§Knowledge of basic medical terminology
§Referral management experience 1-2 years
§Medical Insurance experience 1-2 years
§Customer Service 1-2 years
