About the Role

Lead the engineering and manufacturing process function with a specific focus on cloud customers by driving innovation, providing engineering and manufacturing direction while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that all design activities align with organizational goals for Cloud customers and meet their specific requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement a global engineering strategy for Tate products that align with the organization’s market position and enable tailored design solutions to be developed that meet the specific needs and challenges of cloud-based environments.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the integration team, fostering a culture of creativity, technical expertise, innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with cloud customers to understand their design requirements, ensuring alignment with manufacturing best practices and work cross functionally with internal teams (i.e. project management, sales, R&D, engineering) to ensure seamless integration of design concepts.
  • Drive the integration of innovative technologies and sustainable design practices into product offerings.
  • Oversee the conceptualization and visualization of design projects, ensuring alignment with Tate's commitment to excellence at each stage of development.
  • Utilize cutting-edge design tools and methodologies to create compelling presentations and prototypes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging design technologies and advancements in cloud solutions to inform design decisions based on user-centric design principles.
  • Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure that design outputs meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Develop and implement standardized design practices globally, ensuring consistency and quality across all regions with all design efforts fully aligned with the organization’s brand identity and messaging.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with key cloud customers to co-create design solutions that meet their evolving needs.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of all design related activity.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on performance, milestones, and potential risks.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of global manufacturing design to ensure new and existing regional manufacturing factories can support our cloud customers’ current design, and future proofing them to ensure long term manufacturing viability.

Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.

  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in design, Engineering, or a related field. Although not essential, additional business qualifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience of 7 years in a leadership role within design, preferably in a global context within the data center or construction industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills with a track record of driving design innovation.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud-based environments and their impact on design requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in design tools and software.
  • Ability to travel globally as required.
