Job DescriptionJob Description

Concessions staff play a major role in the services provided to patrons during live racing at Keeneland. Ensures accurate accounting of all transactions and collections at point-of-sale registers.
  • Receives and verifies cash bank at beginning of shift.
  • Obtains information regarding price changes or menu specials.

  • Greets guests as they approach work area.

  • Takes customer orders and gives to kitchen staff for preparation.

  • Itemizes and totals food and beverage purchases.

  • Collects cash, credit or debit cards; makes changes for cash transactions. - Check ID for alcohol purchases

Experience operating a point-of-sale cash register preferred.

  • Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to accurately handle money.

  • Should have basic knowledge of point-of-sale cash registers.

  • Must have ability to remain stationary for periods of up to six (6) hours in length and be able to bend and stoop on occasion.
