As a Tool and Die Maker with us, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our manufacturing processes.

Job Summary:

As a Tool and Die Maker at PBB, you will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and repair of various tooling and dies used in tablet and capsule production. Your expertise will directly impact the quality and output of our production lines, reducing downtime and enhancing productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, clean and set up tooling and dies for tablet and capsule manufacturing machines, ensuring they are in optimal condition for production.

  • Regularly inspect and maintain tooling and dies to ensure they are functioning correctly. Perform repairs and adjustments as needed to minimize downtime.

  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure that tooling and dies meet quality standards, contributing to the production of high-quality tablets and capsules.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to tooling and dies to minimize interruptions in production and maintain efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate records of tooling maintenance, repairs, and replacements to track their lifecycle and performance.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancements in tooling and die design and usage.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

  • Perform maintenance on tableting machines, maintain inspection logs for critical tooling parameters, and conduct maintenance and rework of table tools.

  • Ensure all equipment and tooling are in working order.

  • Cross-train and provide backup support for compression operators as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

  • Proficiency in tool and die setup, maintenance, and repair.

  • Knowledge of tablet and capsule production processes is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and technologies.

Education and Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Formal training or certification in tool and die making is preferred.
