Social Worker, Crisis Observation Center/Psych Urgent Care
The Crisis Observation Center/Psychiatric Urgent Care Social Worker provides psychosocial evaluation, crisis therapy, and support to clients who voluntarily present to either of these programs. The position works in collaboration with both internal and external program providers to develop appropriate and effective discharge planning and referrals.
Schedule
Varies, As Needed. Potentially Sundays, Mondays
Qualifications
- Current licensure as LMSW, LISW, LMHC as recognized by the State of Iowa
- Ability to work cooperatively with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to verbally and physically de-escalate a client utilizing BMC trained programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
