Job DescriptionJob Description

Schivo Medical, a contract manufacturer on Long Island in Plainview New York, is hiring a Cleaning/service worker.

Working with us, you will be manufacturing or supporting the manufacture of a vast array of different products including robotic surgery instruments, neurosurgical tools, and cardiovascular closure devices that treat chronic disease in new ways so people can live better and longer.

* * Working in a machine shop**

8:30am to 5pm for training

Permanent hours 6:00am-2:30pm (o/t as needed)

Cleaner(Machine Shop) Job Overview:

Clean CNC Machines in a machine shop environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Cleaning shop floor with scrubber

Wiping off equipment, machines, and workstations.

Remove chips and debris from the machines and pack them in drums.

Helping on the shop floor with minor tasks

Cleaning up oil spills off floor near CNC machines

Report to maintenance manager daily

Following written and/or oral instructions

Physical requirements:

Ability to stand for several hours.

Ability to lift 50lbs.

Necessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):

  • High School Diploma, GED, or higher education
  • Communication skills
  • Attention to details.
