Axios Professional Recruitment A growing, heavy fabrication shop in Saginaw is looking to add a skilled Senior Fabricator with Aerospace and Defense experience to its team. The position is full-time, with over-time potential as the workload demands. Second and third shift positions will come with a shift premium. Pay is competitive and based on experience and capabilities.Responsibilities/daily tasks
  • Read technical drawings to prepare for and plan welds
  • Construct base templates
  • Put materials together within tolerances and tack weld
  • Inspect and test weld results
  • Operate a forklift and overhead crane
  • Document welds for projects as necessary
  • Maintain safe work environment by following safety processes and procedures
  • Inspect and ensure equipment functionality and safety before use
  • Record production in ERP
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ten years of fabrication experience
  • Aerospace and Defense background
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Pass AWS tests performed by employer
  • Must be able to effectively read blueprints/drawings
Preferred Skills
  • MIG
  • TIG
  • Sub Arc
  • Aluminum and specialty metals experience
