Position Description:

The Senior Product Manager is part of our global marketing team, reporting to the Director of Product Marketing.

You will be responsible for managing our product portfolio and new product introductions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs on a global basis. You’ll be the focal point for articulating what success looks like for a product, and rallying a team to turn that vision into a reality.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may span current product line management and new product introduction including:

  • Ownership of the strategy and tactical execution of a product portfolio, assuming full responsibility for its financial success and market and performance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Define and manage the product delivery goals by gathering and summarizing customer needs and business value.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the engineering / product development teams in development of plans that meet business goals, strategic initiatives, and customer requirements
  • Develop the global go to market strategy and facilitate launch execution across 4 global regions. Coordinate input from regional teams across different geographic areas worldwide.
  • Steer engineering and development activities concerned with new product development and product maintenance activities.
  • Define and manage customer testing plans, KPIs, success criteria, and regional resource requirements. Manages feedback and action plan development.
  • Lead cross-functional teams consisting of development, quality assurance, marketing, manufacturing, sales operations, and product support.
  • Business case preparation with sensitivities, risks, and overall portfolio impact.
  • Define, track and report Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting information, particularly as it pertains to new and current products
  • Monitor current, and anticipate future, customer needs and preferences by working closely with Sales and Market Intelligence
  • Collect information regarding the current market conditions, trends and future outlook for products and services.
  • Understand the ‘why’ behind feature requests; aggregate and articulate into strategic product opportunities
  • Translate requirements into user profiles with measurable and testable acceptance criteria
  • Develop and deliver monthly business review and product stakeholder presentations
  • Provide product management leadership for internal stakeholders, product owners and the development team
  • Utilize industry expertise to perform competitive and market analysis
  • Regularly communicate progress to the senior management and our stakeholders

Required skills / qualifications

  • Understanding of and experience working with new product introductions
  • Experience bringing multiple products to launch globally in technology B2B space in hardware, software, and consumables.
  • Proven experience in direction setting, innovative problem solving, exceptional execution skills to deliver technology innovation that advances a compelling vision.
  • 7+ years as a Product Manager working directly with stakeholders: customers, end-users, clients, executives, etc.
  • 5+ years working with technology hardware and software development teams
  • Experience with print technologies and commercial printing environments
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; effectively communicate complex concepts concisely
  • Ability to communicate at a big picture context setting level down to execution details
  • Foster both intra and cross team collaboration multi-nationally.
