ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop, analyze and optimize operational demand for consumer solutions to meet customer & business requirements and guide regional planners across NAM,LAT,APAC and Europe on allocation strategies and buffer guidelines. 
• Track booking and shipping attainment by Unit, PB for current quarter and adjust the operational plan accordingly.
• Maintain forecast profile/linearity at a weekly granularity based on order booking, regional promotions and feedback from regional Sales, Marketing and BU.
• Manage operational plan buffer to financial forecast by Unit, PB at SKU and family level.
• Direct regional planners across NAM,LAT, APAC and Europe on allocation plans through listing latest allocation guidelines and buffer guidance
• Understand new product transitions, speed bumps, promotions and help in signaling demand well ahead in time for operations to prepare for it. Planner needs to understand BOM structure and highlight possible NAND and other constraints.
• Understand retail seasonality, market dynamics, product life cycles, consumer behaviors, currency impact, host product impacts and reflect in CSF profile and mix.
• Track Forecast Accuracy, coordinate corrective and preventive action with Regional Planners
• Analyze revenue risk due to supply shortages and worked with Business Unit teams to minimize revenue impact by forecast re-mixing.
• Perform weekly push on time and adhere to allocation and NPI guidelines; aim to minimize non net and perform MDM where necessary.
• Provide weekly summary to BU, regional Sales GM, Sales, and Pricing team during weekly meeting.

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in Industrial engineering/supply chain management
• 3+ years of experience in operations/ supply chain.

SKILLS

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits Details

• An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
• The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.  This range may be modified in the future.
• You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
