THE TYPE OF SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in accounting OR 5+ years of experience in preparing business and personal tax returns in a public accounting firm
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting and tax
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other basic computer skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Possessing these qualifications would also be ideal:
- CPA or EA license
- Experience with UltraTax and QuickBooks Online
YOUR DAY AS OUR SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE
This full-time tax and accounting position with our business advisory firm works from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with Fridays off during the summer.
As a Senior Tax Associate, your day is dynamic and engaging. You assist in preparing federal and state income tax returns for individuals and small businesses, meticulously reviewing Forms 1040, 1120-S, 1065, and 1041. Your expertise is evident as you research various tax issues and keep up with tax law and regulation changes. Analyzing financial data ensures accurate tax reporting, while regular communication with clients helps gather necessary information and provide expert guidance. You rely on advanced tax practice management software to keep workflow moving efficiently throughout the year. Your role is about more than just numbers; it's about impacting clients' financial health and contributing to their success. You leave the office each day knowing you've made a significant difference, professionally and personally.
