As a Market Analyst / Data Analyst - II (Associate), you will be the main point of contact for assigned areas within the oncology franchise's marketing/commercial team. You will plan, prioritize, manage, and execute a scope of work in oncology market research spanning multiple indications across pre- and post-launch phases. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic input via primary market research projects and secondary data analysis, defining business questions and opportunities, identifying insights, and recommending actionable solutions.

This role requires exceptional teamwork skills, the ability to interact with and add value to existing market research teams, and strategic partnerships with extended oncology team members including pricing and access, sales, promotion, and marketing. The Associate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, work independently in a rapidly changing environment, possess cultural awareness, and have the resilience to effect change and produce results.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Market Research & Analytics:

  • Develop and execute an assigned portion of the global market research plan for a specific tumor (bladder) with minimal supervision.
  • Provide leadership and strategic thinking for primary market research projects, including framing critical business questions, identifying information needs, and managing the research process to deliver objective understanding of key customers, competitors, products, and market developments.
  • Proficient in various market research methodologies and techniques to design effective studies.
  • Analyze secondary data, syndicated reports, and databases to integrate findings into primary market research efforts and deliver actionable results.

Project Management:

  • Implement market research studies, manage project budgets, and brief agencies to deliver required objectives.
  • Articulate research approaches and methodologies to the franchise/client team, ensuring business objectives are met and communicated effectively.
  • Assess vendor technical capabilities, manage risks in the analytic process, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Proactive Collaboration:

  • Collaborate proactively with cross-functional partners including marketing communications, market access, commercial teams, and advertising agencies.
  • Work with the forecasting team to analyze and inform strategic assumptions built into brand forecasts and key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • BA/BS degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in pharmaceutical market research with oncology-specific experience.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Experience in market research, analytics, sales, forecasting, marketing, or competitive intelligence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, secondary data sets/analytics, and epidemiology data.
  • Ability to communicate research outputs effectively and turn data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to establish relationships of trust and credibility with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in technical aptitude and various market research techniques.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests.
  • Strong communication skills and desire to lead change.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience with bladder cancer.
  • Launch preparation experience.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategy development.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate without authority.
