Data Engineer

Job Description:

As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and strategic planning across the organization. Your expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and visualization tools will be vital in transforming raw data into actionable insights and driving business growth. Additionally, you will be responsible for integrating machine learning, artificial intelligence, and exploring new technologies to enhance reporting capabilities and provide advanced analytics solutions.

Responsibilities:

Data repository design and Architecture: Manage the design and the feeds for the data store and account for day-to-day analytics to support the Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Finance departments

Database Management: Be proficient in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and data manipulation using SQL.

Data Visualization: Using various BI and reporting tools, create effective and visually appealing data visualizations and dashboards to convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Data Quality and Cleansing: Understand data quality principles and perform ongoing cleaning and prepare data for analysis.

Programming Languages: Use languages like, Python, R for data analysis, manipulation, and automation.

• 8+ years’ experience architecting enterprise data solutions for strategic data initiatives and MDM as well as hands-on data design in large-scale and complex data solutions development projects.
• In-depth experience in data architecture and design for large, complex enterprise data environments, for both structured and unstructured data.
• Hands on experience developing end-to-end data pipelines, data products and data services.
• Experience in owning a data platform ( DW or Data /Delta lake) as a service owner.
• Experience architecting and delivering highly scalable and flexible, cost-effective enterprise data solutions.
• Experience with data security and compliance.
• Experience and with data lifecycle management, data-tiering, and data archiving.
• Hands on experience with Data Warehouse, Data Lake and/or Lake House products such as Data Bricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric. Experience with CDP’s a plus.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI. (Nice to have)
• Experience with ECommerce and Manufacturing business domains required.
• Experience with direct sales / network marketing / MLM a big plus.
