Job Summary: Under the supervision of the CEO and Financial Executive team for The ENSE Group, the Project Accountant is responsible for providing overall accounting and financial administration and management for four (4) personal residential properties of the CEO and the Cre-Ser Foundation.  We seek a detail-oriented Finance Project Manager with an accounting background who can manage financial paperwork, track expenses and donations, process payments, and prepare financial statements.


Essential Functions

  • Manage all incoming financial paperwork, including invoices, bills, donations, and other documentation.
  • Ensure proper review, approvals, and timely payment.
  • Track expenses for all properties and projects.
  • Maintain organized records of expenditures.
  • Process payments and reimbursements. Classify transactions and enter them into accounting software.
  • Prepare and send donor acknowledgment letters—Digitally archive financial records.
  • Download credit card statements and follow up on any refunds or discrepancies.
  • Use QuickBooks or similar accounting software for data entry, payment tracking, and reporting.
  • Generate financial statements and reports for management and tax purposes.
  • Follow up on insurance renewals, property taxes, vehicle registrations, and other recurring financial obligations.
  • Assist with annual tax preparation and filing for the organization and related entities.
  • Monitor liabilities, personal credit, and other finance-related tasks as needed.
  • Assist on personal tasks as requested.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Executive.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks or related accounting software.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and observe deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Stay calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Rigorous honesty.
  • Must have active passport.
  • Native English speaker; Spanish (as second language) a plus but not necessary.

 

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
  • 4 years’ experience in a related field required.

 

Physical Job Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) most of the time.
  • This position requires the ability to spend all the time viewing computer monitors.
  • The Project Accountant will work out of the CEO’s Reston office. This is not a remote work position. Hours 9:00am-5:30pm with 30 minutes for lunch. Hours may be flexible, depending on Principal need.

 

Travel Requirements

  • This position has minimal travel requirements.
