Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Processor with extensive knowledge of ADP systems to manage and execute payroll functions efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of payroll procedures, tax regulations, and have the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines. As a Payroll Processor, you will ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, and other forms of compensation, maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and company policies.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Accurately process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payrolls using ADP systems.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and other forms of compensation based on employee work hours and company policies.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
Tax and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports, including quarterly and annual filings.
- Stay current on changes in payroll regulations and update processes accordingly.
Employee Records Management:
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in ADP, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status.
- Ensure accurate data entry and management of employee personal and job-related information.
Benefits Administration:
- Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate deductions for benefits, retirement plans, and other payroll-related items.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits deductions.
Reporting and Reconciliation:
- Generate and distribute payroll reports to management as required.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements related to payroll.
Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly.
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll-related questions and concerns.
System Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processing systems and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of new payroll solutions and system upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Processor or similar role.
- Proficiency with ADP payroll systems is a must.
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, tax laws, and regulations.
- Excellent numerical and data entry skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
