Job Title : Organist/ Pianist

Location : 1700 E 38th St, Bldg. 65 Marion, IN 46953

Responsibilities :

  • Provide an organist/pianist, labor, and transportation to play organ and or piano music for the Catholic mass services once per week and Protestant service once per week (two services per week).
  • Shall be able to read music and be able to play music by sight.
  • Shall be required to play hymns/songs at the prescribed tempo desired by the Priest of the service and follow the Catholic Missal as required.
  • Shall be able to follow and play all worship hymns appearing in the worship bulletin.
  • Play music for weekly regularly scheduled Sunday services, and, special/holy day’s services such as holy days of obligations. 

Qualifications :

  • Be able to operate and play the Organ/Piano
  • Read written and/or sheet music
  • Be able to play by sight hymnals for Catholic services.
  • Be able to follow and play all worship hymns as prescribed in the Worship Bulletin
