Buchanan House Winery in Tipton, IA is looking for four Event Associates to join our 11 person strong team. We are located on 726 Green Road, Iowa. We are seeking outgoing and enthusiastic individuals for several positions in our Event Team.

Reports to: On Site Manager

Responsibilities

  •  Knowledgeable and passionate about local wines. While being able to sell wine, general merchandise to customers.
  •  Provide informative, educational tours to visitors as appropriate.
  • Knowledgeable about onsite events/programs (wine club) and able to assist with winery special events, concerts, weddings receptions as needed.
  •  Provide off site assistance in wine tastings and Events as needed
  •  Provide wine tasting to customers and Serve wine, beer, and beverages to customers
  • Able to operate cash register, point of sales, program register and print reports
  • Cashing out registers, and conducting proper closing procedures
  • Making sure wine and merchandise is stocked
  • Help with set-up and clean up after events
  •  Keep work area clean and tidy  
  • Sweeping/ Moping and cleaning as needed
  • Washing and cleaning glassware


Qualifications

  •  Willing to Learn
  •  Restaurant, customer serves and sales experience is a must.
  • Must be 21 or older to apply.
  • Have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a back round check
  •  Enjoys and thrives in a fast-paced work environment
  •  Works independently and within a close team environment
  •  Knowledgeable and passionate about local wines. While being able to sell wine, general merchandise to customers.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Mondays and Tuesdays. Compensation is $14.00 - $16.00/hour.
