As a Financial Systems Lead Application Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining our Enterprise application (OneStream platform). Your role includes creating data load automations, developing new reports and dashboards, engaging stakeholders for requirements, and managing consolidations and month-end close processes.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Collaboration and Requirements Definition:

    • Work closely with enterprise applications team members and finance stakeholders to define end-user requirements.
    • Specify functionality for OneStream, including data used for forecasting, people planning, budgeting, tax drill back, and accounting.

  • OneStream Application Development:

    • Create and maintain business rules, forms, workflows, cube views, and member formulas within the OneStream platform.

  • Data Integrations and Automation:

    • Build and manage data integrations, transformations, and automations using APIs or other relevant technologies.

  • Scenario Maintenance and System Tasks:

    • Handle scenario maintenance and administrative system tasks to prepare for critical business cycles (e.g., budget initiation, planning cycles).

  • Problem Determination and Resolution:

    • Lead root cause analysis for system issues and document solutions.
    • Recognize and analyze trends in errors, implementing long-term fixes.

  • Configuration and Governance:

    • Develop detailed configuration parameters, custom extensions, and workflow solutions.
    • Ensure consistent standards through effective governance.

  • Dashboard Design and Modification:

    • Design new dashboards for key metric tracking and insights.
    • Modify existing OneStream solutions based on user specifications.

  • Ad Hoc Analyses:

    • Create ad hoc analyses to support non-standard reporting inquiries and activities.
Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years of experience in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, etc.).
    • Experience with OneStream or other Financial Management/Planning tools.
    • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills.
    • Advanced financial analysis and data analysis abilities.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling using Power BI and other reporting tools.
    • Understanding of financial statements, financial planning, and budgeting.
    • Adaptability to changing business needs.
    • Strong attention to detail and a self-starter mindset.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • BS/BA degree in a related discipline (Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, etc.).
    • SQL scripting and data analysis skills.
    • Knowledge of SDLC practices.
