Our Embedded Finance team empowers developers across all industries to create and monetize financial products, transforming how the financial sector consumes services. About the Role

Were seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team and play a crucial role in generating insights and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and implementing data science solutions to solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead statistical and machine learning projects, utilizing techniques such as signal processing, time series analysis, geospatial analysis, and natural language processing.
  • Utilize large-scale data processing tools like Spark and Hive.
  • Conduct original analyses to influence product, engineering, and operations, and communicate findings to stakeholders clearly.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate their needs into data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and implement ML models to extract insights from data.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop data pipelines to ensure data quality and availability for analysis.
  • Stay updated on the latest data science trends and technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data-related processes and improve financial operations efficiency.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Masters in Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience in data science or a similar role.
  • Proven experience applying machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to solve real-world problems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven familiarity with code and programming concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience or a combination of work experience and advanced education.
  • PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field.
  • Ability to self-direct technical work and scope projects effectively.
  • Experience as a data scientist in a global company.
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts or fintech software.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices for enterprise applications.
