Painter Position

The client has existed for almost ninety (90) years, producing and delivering over 15 million doors worldwide. Over the years, we have expanded our portfolio to include many products, complementing the extensive choice of doors we offer. As a result of expanding, we have sold dock levelers in Europe for years. We are expanding again by bringing the dock leveler technology to North America. We are launching a dock leveler manufacturing facility in Imperial, PA. We are currently seeking a painter to become an integral team member of the dock leveler business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Paint large steel parts with high pressure paint guns
  • Properly maintain all painting equipment
  • Create and implement the best painting technique for the dock leveler application
  • Active member on the launch team implementing the painting, welding, and assembly processes
  • Accountable for every aspect of their work
  • Verify the process of painting the product meets all requirements

Skills:

  • Versatile in performing different manufacturing tasks/duties
  • High school diploma or a GED equivalent
  • Understand basic manufacturing processes
  • Ability to comprehend blueprints, schematics, and work specifications
  • Physical ability to lift at least 25 pounds or more
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S
  • Analytical problem solver
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and accomplish goals in a timely manner
  • Familiar with ERP systems and concepts, SAP preferred
  • Effective communicator
  • Effective teammate

Department and Supervisor: The Painter will be a member of the Manufacturing team reporting to the Manufacturing Manager.
