Requirements
Before applying, make sure you have and/or are able to:
- Active ASL interpreter certification/license in any state
- New Mexico Department of Education certification preferred, but not required (we reimburse for cross-licensing)
- Must be fluent in ASL
- EIPA score of 3.5 preferred
- Availability for the 2024-2025 school year
- At least 2 years experience in a school-based setting
- We prefer 1+ year experience providing online services (if not, we need you to be tech-savvy and hungry to learn)
- Knowledge of current instructional methodologies used in the education of deaf and hearing children
- Participate in the development of IEPs and IFSPs as needed
- Assist in providing and setting up all necessary equipment and materials to ensure an appropriate education for students with hearing loss needs
- Employ amplification devices
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members
- Have a professional, dedicated space for working remotely
