Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

Bartender provides beverage service in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, which results in guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).

  • Prepares beverages for guests.
  • Replenishes beverage as requested by guests and checks on guest to inquire on their satisfaction.
  • Acts as cashier for the beverage outlet and ensures balanced monies.
  • Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest/party.
  • Maintains proper set-up of the bar, including maintaining cleanliness of guest areas at all times.
  • Complies with all Federal, state, and local laws pertaining to alcohol and safety.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age.


Education/Experience - One year bartending experience is strongly preferred.


Language Ability - Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language.

Math Ability - High School level math. Adding, subtracting.


Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to work positively and effectively with co-workers, management, and guests of the casino.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to safely operate tools of the job, including the cash register, soda gun, liquor gun, blender, knife, corkscrew, telephone, and ice scoop.
  • Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items and casino services.
  • Ability to memorize all available drinks, as well as how to make each drink.

Certificates and Licenses - Nevada Gaming Control Board registration


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, lift, or carry goods weighing up to 50 pounds continuously
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and in awkward positions, requiring standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, bending, and reaching overhead continuously for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, smokey, casino environment where temperatures fluctuate from hot to cold
  • Ability to use manual dexterity of hand in order to safely use corkscrew, knives, ice scoop, and other tools
  • Ability to walk throughout the shift, behind the bar, back of house, and front of house
