Join LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech company, as a Software Engineer to support upcoming cloud initiatives. You will play a critical role in implementing and supporting cloud-based solutions, leveraging your experience in Software Factory, DevSecOps, and cloud testing to enhance our capabilities. Your work will contribute to cutting-edge projects that optimize system performance and security within federal aviation environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cloud-based software solutions to support FAA programs.
  • Utilize Software Factory methodologies to streamline development processes and improve software quality.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure the integration of security measures throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Conduct testing in cloud environments, including AWS and Google Cloud, to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and system administrators, to integrate cloud solutions seamlessly.
  • Document software design, development, testing, and deployment processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and FAA regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to cloud deployments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by recommending enhancements to cloud software solutions and development practices.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for a bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience.
  • A Ph.D. in a related field may be substituted for a bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Federal NOTAM Systems.
  • Experience in Software Factory practices, DevSecOps, and cloud testing environments such as AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain cloud-based software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience in applying security best practices in software development, particularly within cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative and effective solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with federal aviation standards and regulations is a plus.
Work Requirements:
  • Work location: Hybrid out of WJHTC, Atlantic City, NJ.
  • Work Hours: Normal Business Hours.
  • Travel: Minimal travel required for meetings and project support.
  • Physical requirements:
    • Extended Computer Use: Regular use of computer systems for software development and testing.
    • Mobility: Ability to move within the office environment to collaborate with team members and access resources.
    • Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for computer use and software development tasks.
    • Sitting/Standing: Primarily seated work with occasional standing for meetings and troubleshooting.
  • Background check: Public Trust Investigation.

Compensation

Salary at LS Technologies is determined by various factors, such as education, certifications, experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The compensation information provided is a general guideline.

The projected compensation range for this position will be discussed during the hiring process and is based on a full-time, 40-hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum ranges represent the broadest range for this position and are part of LS Technologies' total compensation package for employees.
