Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our paralegal team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience with in-house and corporate legal matters as well as with contracts, working directly with our in-house Counsel and Paralegal Manager. The Intern will assist with various tasks to support our legal team in delivering effective legal services.

The Paralegal Intern is crucial for supporting our growing legal needs. As our company expands, the volume of sales made and the complexity of legal matters increase, necessitating additional support in the paralegal team. This role will help ensure that our legal processes run smoothly and efficiently. The Intern will provide valuable assistance in research, documentation, drafting, and administrative tasks, contributing to the overall effectiveness and responsiveness of our legal operations.
Core ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, organizing, and communicating any incoming external questions to legal leadership.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to gather information and ensure legal requirements are met.
• Collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals within the organization.
• Assist Paralegal Manager with internal audits and reviews.

Contracts

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal agreements.
• Perform legal research and analysis, as needed.
• Assist in sending and tracking agreements to external contacts.
• Assist in executing and organizing signed agreements.

Education, Experience, Specialized and Preferred SkillsEducation Level: Associate degree or in progress to achieve paralegal degree.  

Experience Level: Strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, BoldDesk, and/or CRM databases.

Specialized Skills, Certificates, Licenses: North Carolina Paralegal Certification or in progress to achieve.  

Preferred Skills: Critical thinking, operating with integrity, highly detail oriented.
