Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operates and programs CNC machines and other equipment to fabricate tooling, fixtures, and complex, tight tolerance assemblies.
- Equipment may include CNC mills, lathes, grinders and Bridgeports.
- Works closely with various departments to meet their tooling requirements
- May run or set-up machines for production assignments or R&D assignments, as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Experienced machinist with 5 or more years experience manufacturing complex parts.
- Prior toolmaker experience required.
- CNC programming experience using Gibbs Cam required.
- Must have ability to set up and run CNC lathes and mills.
- Programming of 4 and 5 axis parts preferred.
- Experience with fixture design and manufacture is preferred.
- Must also be able to read and interpret drawings & blueprints.
- Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills required. Advanced math skills required.
