Job Description Summary:
Krystal Biotech, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Automation Engineering Associate to join our team. The Associate will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation systems within our CGMP manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical engineering or a related field and a strong interest in automation technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and implementation of automation systems for manufacturing processes.
- Support the development and optimization of control systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new automation technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on existing automation systems.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation for automation projects.
- Support validation and commissioning activities for new automation systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and environmental regulations.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in a GMP or manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
- Ability to project professionalism and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles.
- Familiarity with modern technology stacks, specifically infrastructure, software engineering, data, and analytics.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Ability to travel as required to support project activities.
