Summary:
The Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, repairs, and/or coordinates appropriate services to machinery, equipment, company vehicles, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems for Olive Branch's distribution center.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular facility inspections to identify and assess maintenance needs, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Inspect and test machinery and equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair various building systems, including plumbing, electrical, painting, office fixtures, and installations, ensuring all systems are operational and up to code.
- Oversee and execute repairs and maintenance of the physical structure of Nice North America offices, ensuring a safe and functional work environment.
- Assist in the relocation of office furniture and equipment as needed, ensuring efficient and careful handling of items.
- Address and resolve facilities-related emergencies promptly to minimize disruption and maintain safety.
- Adhere to documented procedures for receiving and processing non-inventory purchase orders (POs), maintaining accurate records and inventory control.
- Maneuver a sit-down forklift and/or pallet jack.
- Execute all tasks in accordance with established procedures, methods, and working requirements to ensure consistency and quality.
- Apply and uphold department policies and standards, contributing to a structured and compliant maintenance operation.
- Adheres to OSHA standards and guidelines when completing work.
- Completes OSHA training as required.
- Completes daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual PM’s.
- Keeps shop neat and orderly, maintains spares listing to minimize downtime of critical equipment.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or building maintenance can be advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
- Understanding of and ability to follow documented procedures and departmental policies.
- Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various building systems and machinery.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees and document procedures.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
- Strong ability to adapt to changing priorities, and work with a sense of urgency
- Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, establish department/discipline goals and objectives for self
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
