Qualifications
As a Buyer you will be responsible for:
Order Management
- Ensure all purchase orders are placed and tracked within a specified timeframe to meet the warehouse stock needs.
- Track and communicate changes in ETA of products.
- Work with Procurement team to develop, improve, and maintain profitable and effective purchasing strategies.
Inventory Management
- Independently review stock levels
- Assist in maintaining proper counts and ROP levels for all available inventory.
- Review data to determine ordering strategies that optimize inventory.
Supplier Relationships
- Works closely with suppliers to maintain a high level of communication and engagement in our business.
Product Usage Tracking and Forecasting
- Tracks and reports on key functional metrics to improve effectiveness.
- Independently gathers and clearly communicates data when requested by other teams.
- Develops projections and forecasts.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, related field or equivalent
- 2-3 years buying or planning experience.
- Broad range of material purchasing (e.g., plastics, metals, hardware, fabric, etc.)
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Strong negotiating skills
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications and working within ERP systems.
