Job Description:

The Senior Datawarehouse/ETL Developer has expertise in MS SQL server-based data warehouse deployment, management, and maintenance. This position requires experience with enhancing and maintaining an existing data warehouse, integration of various source data systems, deploys and tests enhancements to the Data Warehouse system, including user interfaces, ETL processes, and data analysis. The Senior Datawarehouse/ETL Developer must have DW SDLC knowledge and experience with MS-SQL Server database development, SQL Server Integration Services, Data Warehouse and database modeling and Data Warehouse architecture.

Top Qualifications, Skills, Experience or Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years of experience providing data security for databases, with experience supporting Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW Also Software design and development. Five of the ten years of experience must include software project responsibility for the design, deployment, and maintenance of DW/ETL applications.

**Position requires 10+ years of experience, minimum. Resumes with less that 10 years' experience will not be considered**


  • Senior-level DW/ETL designers will demonstrate responsibility for successfully executing project programming tasks independently.

MUST Have Skills:

  • MS SQL server 2014 or later

Job Role Specific Requirements:

  • Data warehouse SDLC
    1. Expertise in DW/ETL development lifecycle for new development and maintenance & Support
    2. SDLC Experience with Data Migration related projects
    3. Provide the realistic effort and schedule estimation for the work involved
  • Data Integration Services Maintenance & Support
    1. Oversee and manage all data imports, exports, and other interconnections to and from the Data Warehouse (DW).
    2. Develop technical requirements, level of effort and scheduling estimates, and implement DW enhancements as requested by the DW Steering Committee.
    3. Adjust existing ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) routines for new data elements and data sources and integrate new data into DW.
    4. Oversee and monitor SQL System Agent jobs and analyze any failures.
  • Data Integration Services Development
    1. Architect, Design, Develop, Test and Deploy ETLs based on the Standards and needs.
  • Data Quality
    1. Verify that existing DW Dashboards are properly reflecting current DW values.
    2. Data Quality Check Audits and Maintenance.
    3. Develop the QA deliverables including Testing approach, Test Cases and Test Plan
  • Task Documentation
    1. Experience in Requirement collection process from the Business Users and documenting the same and follow the approval process.
    2. Provide updated and current technical and user documentation for DW use and operation.
    3. Create and maintain the necessary documentations across SDLC.
  • System Maintenance
    1. Manage database storage, database performance, data availability, perform database compaction and manage the Data Warehouse database size.
    2. Perform database consistency checks between Data Warehouse and all other system interacting with Data Warehouse. (e.g., Delphi)
    3. DW health check proposal and Implementation
