The Kiski School is seeking a skilled head coach for its varsity golf team to begin in the fall 2024 season. This is a part-time, 3-month contractor position beginning in August 2024.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include:
● Organizing and leading daily practices for the team Monday-Friday while in season to take place at area courses, driving ranges, and on Kiski’s nine-hole golf course. Kiski’s golf season runs from late August through October, and the team typically plays 12 matches.
● Transporting, coaching, and supervising the team during all home and away competitions while complying with all Kiski School and PAISSA rules and regulations.
● Working with individual team members to assess their strengths and weaknesses and offer personalized improvement plans.
● Strategically preparing the team for matches and tournament play.
● Developing and fostering a culture of teamwork, sportsmanship, scholarship, and character.
● Working closely with the Athletic Director on scheduling, logistics, and communications with players, parents, golf courses, and opposing teams.
● In coordination with the Admissions Office, speak with prospective students who have an interest in golf, and share insights about the school's team, training facilities, and opportunities for growth. Help prospective students understand the benefits of joining the Kiski golf team.
● Travel, including on occasional weekends, to tournaments around the region and the state will be required.


Qualifications:
● Kiski’s golf coach must model professional leadership and behavior by adhering to the same rules and expectations for the athletes, always displaying a positive attitude, and motivating and inspiring the team.
● Extensive golfing experience, coaching experience, and a deep love for the game of golf and for teaching the game of golf.
● Excellent communication skills.
● Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Patience for teaching and developing young golfers, and a demonstrated ability to connect with and inspire young people.
● Must possess a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a background check and clearances.
