Location: Hutchinson, MN and surrounding areas

Hours of Position: 2:45pm-10pm Monday-Friday

Variable Hours: Potential for 9am-10pm Tuesdays

Available:

Part-time/Full-time
Evenings
Days


Compensation: $19.00/hour, based on experience

Description:

The BRIDGES Counselor works 1:1 with adults that have disabilities by providing a variety of services in order to live as independently as possible.

This includes:

Teaching socialization skills

Improving Fine motor skills

Accessing community settings

Teaching Life skills

Using positive behavior support plans to minimize and reduce maladaptive behavior


Site Specific Details:

Bridges to Success is looking to staff a female Bridges Counselor 2 with a woman in Hutchinson who lives in her own home.

This lovely lady enjoys a variety of activities in her home and in her community, such as:

Gardening and tending to her plants

Keeping her home clean

Visiting the animal sanctuary

Music

Going to local community events (art show, fundraisers, music in the park, company bingo)

Baking

Puzzles


Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred
OR an Associate's Degree in a Social Services Discipline
OR two years of supervised experience working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors as well as co-occurring mental disorders or neurocognitive disorder
A valid Driver's License, clean MVR & auto insurance (You will be using your personal vehicle to transport clients)
The ability to pass a MN DHS background check
A working mobile device that can receive & send phone calls and capable of downloading applications for documentation
The ability to make independent decisions
Reliability and flexibility are necessary for success in this position
