Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator

Program Name: AmeriCorps Youth Education & Enrichment at Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee

Township

Term of Service: Complete 675 hours as a Reduced Half-Time Member between September 1st,

2024 - August 31st, 2025


Job Summary: The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the

organization’s volunteer program. This role involves recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to

ensure they are effectively integrated into programs and activities that support the Club’s mission. The

Volunteer Coordinator will cultivate relationships with community members, develop volunteer

opportunities, and ensure a positive and impactful experience for volunteers and the youth they serve.


Key Responsibilities:

Communicate with volunteers regularly to provide updates, share volunteer opportunities, and

gather feedback.

Organize and coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments, ensuring adequate coverage for

all activities and events.

Assist in the development and implementation of volunteer trainings and orientations.

Support the coordination of volunteer events, including appreciation events, volunteer fairs,

and recognition ceremonies.

Assist in the recruitment and retention of volunteers with advertisements/campaigns and

promoting volunteer opportunities.


Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States

Successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting and drug screening.

Passion for working with youth

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse

groups of people.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings


Time Requirement:

Complete 675 hours during the time of service

Participate in mandatory days of service

Complete hours during direct service hours at designated site (i.e. after-school hours, no school

days (if applicable), special events, family engagement activities, etc.)


Benefits:

Living allowance provided on a bi-weekly basis, $11,475 yearly gross pay.
