Auto Detailer

Our client, Car Cleaning Company is a growing company with locations in Newburgh and New Paltz. We also have a mobile unit that services Ulster, Orange, and Dutchess counties. Currently, we are hiring Auto Detailers for our new location in Bordentown, New Jersey We are looking for motivated individuals who want to grow with us. You'll be required to work at a fast pace making cars look spotless on the inside and out. Detailing experience is a plus but we will train the right candidates. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Uses various types of cleaning equipment and solutions.
• Details vehicle according to our specific instructions.
• Vacuums floors and seats.
• Clean and vacuums the trunk.
• Cleans out ashtrays and cup holders.
• Condition vinyl and leather.
• Cleans all trash, debris and dirt from the interior of the vehicle.
• Uses special foams and detergents designed for specific types of microfibers.
• Clean the dashboard, steering wheel, trims and moldings inside the vehicle.
• Clean door frames and instrument panels.
• Clean all dirt, grease and tar from the exterior of the vehicle.
• Reconditions the vehicle’s exterior.
• Clean all glass on the vehicle, inside and out, with the appropriate type of microfiber and cleaning solution.
• Clean all mirrors with the proper chemical.
• Clean and dress the engine bay.
• Remove grease from the engine and other parts under the hood.
• Wax and buff vehicles after washing.
• Polish the exterior chrome and all trim on the exterior of the vehicle.
• Use air compressors and special equipment to clean the inside and outside surfaces.
• Apply chemicals to surfaces to protect against spots and stains.
• Use hoses and pumps for washing and rinsing vehicles.
• Dry floor mats.
• Clean and polish wheel rims and makes them sparkle.
• Clean the headlights, brake lights and taillights making them brighter.
• Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

• Must have exceptional customer service skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be an active listener and exercise sound judgment.
• Good critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential.
• Must be good at time management and multi-tasking.
• The ability to follow complex instructions is a plus.
• Must have the ability to effectively manage material resources and keep track of an inventory of supplies.
• Should have ample knowledge of safety precautions.

Work Environment 

• Time is spent inside and outside of vehicles.
• Must be able to work with strong detergents and chemicals.
• Time is spent working outside/inside in both very hot and very cold weather.
• Must be willing to wear gloves and eye and ear protection.

Pay Rate: Wages range from $16.00 - $18.00/hr depending on experience
